Kobe Paras Officially Welcomed By CSUN Men’s Basketball Team

It’s official: Kobe Paras is now a part of the CSUN (California State University, Northridge) men’s basketball team.

The Filipino prodigy was introduced as the newest member of the Matadors by head coach Reggie Theus on May 31 at the “Matadome” (Thursday morning in Manila) in the CSUN campus.

“I am really proud to have Kobe here. I’m excited about the fact that he chose our school to come play for, that I get to coach this athletic, talented, solid individual, and that he's bringing his character and his skills to our CSUN family,” Theus said.
Paras transferred to CSUN from Creighton, where he played a total of 70 minutes last season, scoring 20 points and grabbing 15 rebounds.
He will have to sit out a season to comply with the NCAA’s transfer rules, and will be eligible to play for the Matadors next year.
